By Siyamthanda kaNyambane

DJ Uncle Waffles was just like any other upcoming township deejay doing her thing at a local Shisanyama.

She was playing her ordinary set in a Vosloorus Shisanyama on a Friday afternoon when a video was recorded.

The video has gone viral! It has taken the whole country by storm and helped her become the industry’s newwest sensation.

DJ Uncle Waffles has taken the South African Deejaying industry by storm.

The Eswatini-born DJ posted a video clip of her turning tables at a packed Shisanyama.

In the video, as she plays she also dances and the patrons reacted warmly to her sexy and seductive dance moves.

The song she turns her moves to is Kabza De Small’s Adiwelele.

This has turned the star whose real name is Lungelihle Zwane from eSwatini but based in South Africa to a new industry discovery.

Many local celebrities like DJ Lamiez, Bontle Modimole, Major League DJ’s, Lasizwe to mention the few have applauded Uncle Waffles for her rise to fame.

Many people in the music industry thought Uncle Waffle was a man.

On Monday DJ Waffle who was still in the celebratory mood Tweeted: “I’m fully booked the whole week.”

This followed after one Tweeter user wished her all the best and wished that Waffles can get many gigs.

On Monday afternoon Waffles announced that she was excited and informed her team of some good news.

She announced that her video had reached over 1.3 million social media views three days after uploading.

International superstar Drake had also started following her on Instagram.

This is despite the fact that last year, DJ Waffles once Tweeted that she did not like Drake.
