Year 2020 is a disaster

This year has been a drag, with so many deaths.

It’s a fact that 2020 has been a disaster to almost everyone around the world. People lost their loved ones left, right and centre.

Here, in Mzansi entertainment and sport fraternity is still mourning after passing of kwaito star, Nomasonto “Mshoza” Maswangayi (37) and former Bafana Bafana  player, Anele Ngcongca (33) who was set to be announced as AmaZulu football club as their player.

Anele died in a horrible car accident on N2 north coast of kwaZulu-Natal on November 23. It’s such a coincident that Anele and Mshoza, who once reported in newspapers as being lovers, died just a few days apart. Mshoza died on November 19.

We are now just a few days away from what is likely to be the most un-festive December we have ever experienced due to deaths of family members and friends that started early this year after the outbreak of Covid-19. Back to Zondo commission, it not raining but pouring between Jacob Zuma and deputy Chief Justice. The battle between them is continuing.

This after deputy Chief Justice Raymond Zondo said that the Secretary of the State Capture Commission would make and urgent application to the Constitutional Court to compel former president Jacob Zuma to appear before the inquiry again and not leave until he was excused. Zondo said that the commission would lay a criminal complaint with the police against Zuma after he left the commission without his permission.

After all these bitter moments in Mzansi, we now at least have a new artist Gee Six Five (65) from Newcastle who has come from nowhere with single tittle Obani Laba Bantu, and crazily making us forget all the mess this year has been. People seem to be enjoying it. Some people even say jokingly 2020 is already dead, so Gee Sixty Five must continue with execution.
