The hatred directed at Andile Mpisane is puzzling
This is what any loving parent will do to their child. Just like Mpisane, there are others before him who played for family teams
Editor’s Note
I sat down and tried to think about the hullabaloo behind Andile Mpisane selection into Royal AM squad that played against Kaizer Chiefs in the Macufe Cup last weekend.
We are all aware that Andile Mpisane (21) is the youngest chairman in the DStv Premiership League. Having said that, it is no doubt that his mom’s financial muscle has parachuted him to this status.
This is what any loving parent will do to their child. Just like Mpisane, there are others before him who played for family outfits.
Bhamuza Sono played for Jomo Cosmos, Junior Motaung for Kaizer Chiefs and Lunga Madlala for Golden Arrows, just to mention a few.
Now, the ambitious young star want to contribute to his team on the field as well as financially. And instead of giving him support he is being trolled on social media and verbally attacked by his fellow black countrymen.
If I may ask, Is it his fault to be born and raised in a wealthy family? What will you do if you are wealthy like Mamkhize?
Would you close doors of opportunities for your children so that they mustn’t succeed in life? I doubt.
Before judging or commenting ill about somebody, we must first know the struggles and the history the individual has passed through.

It is disturbing to see Africans pulling down a fellow brother who is making some positive impact in our society, instead of us embracing the black excellency.
In the past, our parents use to call young white boys “Makhulu baas” because their families were rich and were able to pay their salaries.
Were they glorifying that drivel because of skin color? As Africans, we are still oppressed psychologically and as a result, we continue to hate one another.
Personally, I see nothing wrong about Andile Mpisane doubling as a player and a club Chairman as long as there will be no conflict of interest that could compromise his decisions or actions at Royal AM.
