Academically, Lalela is an LLB graduate and quite keen on youth development.
Excited Siya commented on Twitter saying: It’s been amazing having a representative at Miss SA. These women are not just black and beautiful but intelligent.
“And they are unapologetic about their colour of the skin. I never care until Zozi won and we have been killing it since.”
The runners up are Morate Masima and Zimi Mabunzi and they will be R175 000 richer.
Top three will also represent Mzansi at the most prestigious pageants namely Miss World, Miss Supranational and Miss Universe.
Nompumelelo on Twitter reminded how South Africans are divided when it comes to Miss South Africa.
“As tribalism in South Africa is real, most of you hated Shudu because she wasn’t Zulu or Xhosa.
“But you all praise and worship Zozi and this new girl because they are from the tribes that are famous we see you,” said Nompumelelo.
