Editor’s Note
We closed the October chapter with a historic and memorable King Misuzulu kaZwelithini’s coronation at Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday.
Over 40 000 people including several kings and other foreign dignitaries attended the recognition certificate handover to His Majesty King Misuzulu kaZwelithini.
Around the stadium all roads were closed. The beauty displayed by various tribes with their traditional attire and dance was marvellous to watch.
I spotted dignitaries who came as far as Zambia to attend the event. King Misuzulu’s coronation proved to the entire world that Africans are united, and only politics divides us.
First wife, Queen Ntokozo Mayisela, accompanied the king and the attendances noticed the absence of second wife Queen Nozizwe Mulela.
Does her absence confirm the trouble in paradise as reports earlier revealed squabbles in the Kingdom? Only God knows, ours is to pray for our King’s good health and loyalty to his people.
As much as we applaud the historic event but exclusion of Prince Mangosuthu Buthelezi in the Gala dinner was ill-mannered.

We understand the fact that Buthelezi and ANC are political opponents but the event wasn’t about politics.
Prince Buthelezi played a major role to ensure that he lifts King Misuzulu to the throne, he fought tooth and nail.
Now the ball is in the court for King Misuzulu to ensure that he restores the Zulu nation’s dignity. And protect our land under the Ingonyama Trust and fight poverty.
Lastly, on such events our province (KZN) should be in charge of organizing.
Artists spent hours at Exhibition Centre waiting for accreditations. When they finally arrived at the venue, there was no water in their rooms, they starved till they performed in the afternoon.
This is unacceptable.
