Jumbo celebrates with big concert despite Song of the Year failure
The gospel star came second to less known act DJ Hlo on Ukhozi FM's Top 10, but continues celebrations anyway s

Ukhozi FM official Song of the Year runner-up Jumbo is set to continue with his personal “Victory Celebrations”.
Jumbo still believes that the number one spot belongs to him even though some people criticise his initiative.
The most wanted slot was won by less popular DJ Hlo who was officially announced by the public broadcaster on New Year’s eve.
Speaking to The Purpose this morning, Jumbo said: “According to Ukhozi FM I didn’t win but I regard myself as a winner.
“Go to all my official social media pages and you’ll see what I am talking about. Here, I am celebrating my achievement with my fans.”
On the poster for the event, Jumbo lists top artists and DJ’s in the country except DJ Hlo.
Jumbo quickly cleared the air regarding invited acts to his Song of the Year celebration.
“I only invited my friends, if you’re not on the list you must know that we’re not friends” Jumbo said.
Speaking to Ilanga recently, DJ Hlo said people were calling her names but that does not stop her from celebrating her achievement.
She received 214 966 votes. “They call me names and it doesn’t matter now.
“What comforts me is that there’s so many people who show love toward me.
“I received a number of calls, caring people checking up on me.”
Jumbo urged people to come in numbers and celebrate with him as the event will be free.
Among artists on the poster Jumbo invited DJ Tira, Khuzani, Mjosty, DJ Happygal, Gab Ndlela, Dladla Mshunqisi, Linda Sibiya, Ngizwe Mchunu Thina Zungu just to name a few.
The event will be held at Umzimkhulu on Friday, Ibis sportsground from 4 pm.
