Zandile Tembe leaves post early as Ukhozi FM feuds claim first victim

Zandile Tembe has reportedly left Ukhozi FM on a huff on Monday. Her sudden departure is said to have shocked staffers.
Tembe was expected to leave the SABC radio station at the end of October when her contract ends. She was the programs manager.
But according to a report on Isolezwe, Tembe packed her personal belongings from her office and left on Monday.
It is claimed that Tembe was instructed by the station’s management to vacate her position early.
A source is quoted as saying this was done to ensure that she was no longer privy to sensitive company information.
The report also claims that Tembe had not been seeing eye-to-eye with assistant programs manager Mandla Mdletshe.
It is not clear what had caused the rivalry between the two but it is believed it has to do with the recent reshuffling of presenters.
Mdletshe has since been announced as interim programs manager until someone is appointed on a permanent basis.
Tembe joined the station as a content producer some 10 years ago. She worked with Linda Sibiya on his then popular drive time show.
Mdletshe joined Ukhozi as a presenter many years ago. He became popular for his deep voice and laid-back jazzy tunes on Sundays.
Tembe told The Purpose that she had not left her position earlier than expected but was rather serving her one month notice working from home.
“I am serving notice from home until the end of October,” said Tembe.
