The National Freedom Party in Zululand have described the move by its former wing, Friends of VZ to join the IFP as opportunism and stomach politics.
This comes after the pictures of Prince Nkinobho Thokozani Zulu who was the co-founder of the Friends of VZ (Veronica Zanele) group, which lay the foundation to the formation of the NFP by Zanele Magwaza-Msibi, was all over social media wearing IFP regalia in Ulundi.
His move angered a lot of NFP leaders in Zululand who describe him as a person who is driven by stomach politics.
Zululand NFP leader, Sphamandla Ntombela was among those who lambasted Prince Nkinobho’s return to the IFP.
“I still don’t believe that he decided to betray us and our president, Zanele KaMagwaza Msibi by ditching the NFP in order to save his position in Zululand District Municipality which is led by the IFP.
“What he did has proven beyond any reasonable doubts that he is a political crosstitute who is playing the politics of stomach.
“It is clear that his move to join Inkatha Freedom Party has nothing to do with any political ideology or policies but he is trying to save his job in the Zululand Municipality, “ says Ntombela.
Prince Nkinobho replying on the stomach politics allegations he said he doesn’t have any reason to explain himself. “I’m working in Zululand at the office of the Mayor. Whatever I do is always related to my work. I therefore have no reason to explain myself to anyone. If there’s a political party I have decided to join I will make that to be known since I’m not scared of whatever decision I take. At the moment I really don’t want to comment about all these things that have been said about me, ” Prince Nkinobho said.
The Purpose Magazine however understands that Prince Nkinobho used to be a clerk at the District Municipality but he later became a senior manager at the office of the Mayor.
