South Africa’s top radio and TV producer, Msizi Nkosi dies

South Africa has lost one of its shining lights in radio and television content following the death of producer, Msizi Nkosi.
Nkosi died in a car accident on Sunday afternoon. He was a former content producer for Ukhozi FM’s 12-3 pm show Nethezeka.
The show was hosted by Nonhlanhla “Mroza” Buthelezi and the late Vukani “Chilli M” Masinga. In a statement released late Sunday, the Nkosi family through their family spokesperson Ntando Nkosi confirmed the news.
“It is with great sadness to inform you of the untimely sudden passing away of the beloved and admired brother, friend, and colleague Msizi Edgar Nkosi. He passed away today 15 August 2021.
“It is sad that Msizi was involved in a car accident and unfortunately did not survive. The Nkosi family requests to be given some time to process the news and ask to be given some privacy,” the statement reads.

Nkosi was one of the prominent content producers in South Africa. He has worked as the Head of Content for SABC 1’s Daily Thetha. Msizi also worked at the now-defunct SABC 3’s 3 Talk.
He also had stints as a content producer on various Ukhozi FM shows including the breakfast and drive time shows.
Msizi was also a budding businessman and owned a well-known Ed King Lifestyle Salon which he had plans to expand into a franchise.
