BREAKING: Trompies member dies in car accident

The news of the death of one of the members of the country’s oldest and popular Kwaito groups Trompies has sent shockwaves throughout South Africa. The group’s recording company, Kalawa Jazzmee confirmed through a statement that Mojalefa Matsane, popularly known as Mjokes had passed on.

According to the statement, Mjokes died on Sunday morning in a car accident which happened as he was on his way home from one of the group’s performance at an undisclosed venue.

“It is with great sadness to announce that our Kalawa Jazzmee co-director and Trompies fifth member, Emmanuel Mojalefa Matsane who is popularly know as Mjokes has passed away in a car accident.

“The accident happened in the early hours of this morning, 23 May 2021 after their performance with Trompies. Further information regarding the memorial service and funeral will given out during the week,” reads the statement.

Mjokes was known for his comic antics when he dances and his funny lines in Trompies songs. This is a developing story and updates will be given during the day. May his soul find peace.
