Pearl Thusi regrets not meeting Costa Titch to mourn AKA

By The Purpose Reporter

Actress and TV personality Pearl Thusi has described rapper Costa Titch as a ‘real one’ in her tribute.

Costa Titch died suddenly while performing at the Ultra Music Festival in Nasrec, Johannesburg last weekend.

His death comes just a month after that of Kiernan Forbes who was popularly known as AKA.

He was shot outside an eatery in Durban’s popular Florida Road in February.

Pearl Thusi says she was meant to meet with Costa Titch to comfort each other on the death of AKA.

“It’s wild when you’re making plans with someone, getting to know them…

“And then this happens,” wrote the former MTV host and Quantico actress on her social media.

“This is so confusing – you’ve been championing me through one of the wildest decisions I’ve made.

“I should have gotten you those AirTags myself. We were still meant to meet and chop it up about Kiernan and how you’re/we’re coping.

“Busy schedules got in the way. I assumed I had tomorrow, next week, next month… we’ll keep that green light on,” she added.

She then thanked Costa Titch’s family for having allowed him to share his talents with the world.

“Costa was a real one. Thank you for sharing him with us. This is so difficult to process because you’d given everything, and yet you still had so much to give.

“It is wild that you lived and transcended to the sound of your own music – as I try and find something good to hold onto at this time – that seems to come up.

“You loved what you did till the very end. We’re proud of you, your work and your heart.” Costa Titch was 28 when he died.
