“We just recently lost Mampintsha we haven’t healed now is AKA. The disturbing part is that AKA was shot just opposite wmetro police mobile police station but the perpetrators have not brought into books yet. Secondly, this incident happened in the city where AKA called it’s his second home. We’re saddened,” said Tzozo.

EThekwini leadership led by mayor Mxolisi Kaunda, business peoples and ordinary people gathered in a prayer session at Florida road dressing black colours.

MEC for Department Sport, Art and Culture Amanda Bani -Mapena said AKA influence on the cultural and social scene is a class act to follow.

“While we are presently languishing in immeasurable pain and despondency, we take solace in knowing that AKA’s influence on the cultural and social scene is a class act to follow. Generations to come will profess that his organic development in hip hop is an astounding story. Similarly, his meteoric rise to global stardom has opened the doors for SA youth in arts and music. A true cultural icon. We are also extremely grateful of the solidarity and brotherhood displayed by the music industry here today led by the CCIFSAKZN,” she said.
