And just a day later, death came again this time for Mdonso’s husband, Nathaniel “Nate” Pottier.
According to an Eshowe based source, Pottier died in hospital battling Covid-19. Pottier was a well known detective in the local police force and was also a former presenter of the ‘uNkulunkulu noMndeni’ show on Zululand FM, where his wife also started her radio career.

“We are all shocked, we received a report that he was sick and Covid-19 symptoms were there, but didn’t think he’d not make it out of it. We urge everyone to pray for Mdonso. She is mourning after losing her close brother,” said the source.

A family member, Sheshile Ngcobo who sounded depressed and drained over the phone said she can’t comment at this moment as she’s outside the province of kwaZulu-Natal.

Pottier died few days before they  celebrate their first anniversary with Mdonso.

The time we publish condolences messages were pouring on Mdonso pages in social media friends and family sympathises with her.
