Tbo Touch’s imminent return to Metro sparks excitement
Veteran broadcaster left the station under a cloud but is said to be on the verge of return to boost listnership numbers, writes Aphe Gcwabe
Thabo Molefe, a radio and TV presenter popularly known as Tbo Touch, is set to make a return to Metro FM.
Touch left the public broadcaster’s flagship station six years ago following an alleged fallout with management.
SABC group executive for corporate affairs and marketing, Gugu Ntuli was quoted in Daily Sun saying Metro FM management will communicate line up changes in due course.
Molefe denied to comment, saying Metro FM was better suited to respond. The news of Touch’s imminent return to Metro was well received.
Commenting on Twitter, Charlie Africa said this is necessary. “Shocking! But Tbo Touch’s return to Metro FM is necessary.
“This radio station has lost its pulse, tangibility and substance. Broadcasting style has become very monotonous from show to show.

“Some presenters are forgettable and unmemorable. Congratulations to him. Change is vital,” he said
Molefe resigned from Metro FM and his started his station Touch HD simultaneously serving on the board of Soweto TV.
After his exit, Metro is said to have suffered with making the numbers especially after DJ Fresh also left the breakfast show.
It’s not clear which timeslot Molefe will be this time. Molefe left Metro FM’s drive-time show and Mo Flava took over till today.
