The SABC’s flagship IsiZulu radio station, Ukhozi FM, has appointed Pearl Maseko as its new programmes manager.
This comes three weeks after it announced a few changes in its line-up. The changes take effect on 1 April.
Pearl Maseko is not new to radio having worked at various stations including Ukhozi FM before branching out to academics.
She holds an Honours Degree in Development Studies and a Postgraduate Diploma in Higher Education and Training from the University of Fort Hare.
Add to that a Master of Arts Degree in Media and Communication from Kingston University, a National Diploma in Television Production Studies from Durban University of Technology and a certificate in Business Communications from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
Pearl Maseko is not new on radio
Her radio work experience includes having worked for Gagasi FM as a content producer. Moreover, she is not a stranger to some people at Ukhozi FM. She also worked as a content producer on the station several years ago.
Some listeners are wondering if the recently announced line-up will be overturned now that she has joined.
