The Estate is currently one of the trending soapie on local rotation. It is the talk of almost every household. Starring some of the best local acting talents, the soapie has taken Mzansi by storm.

The storyline is around a feud between a wealthy family who live at Echelon Estate and the poor and less privileged residents of dwellings just outside it.

The drama has started unfolding between the well-off and powerful Phakathwayo family and their rivals, the poor Mokobanes.

The Phakathwayos are led by Muzi, a successful businessman. On the other hand the Mokobanes are led by Shadrack.

The two rivals have secrets from their past. Apparently when there were riots, Shadrack mistakenly shot dead his son by mistake. Muzi witnessed the incident. The two men kept that to themselves.

Muzi then used this to blackmail Shadrack, threatening to break the news is he didn’t give him his family land. Now, after several years, the secret is haunting Shadrack and he has confessed to his wife.

He is now fighting with Muzi for his family’s land. Meanwhile, Muzi’s comfortable life turns for the worst when his secret affair with a pastor’s daughter, Goergina is uncovered.

His family’s reaction leaves him worried. Muzi’s daughter Sindi seeks a shoulder to cry on after learning of her father’s adultery. She finds it in Dumisani, who is, yes Mokobane’s son.
