IT’S about time to give back to the entire country and thank God for saving me. These words come from 63-year-old pastor Themba “Dlok’zin” Ngema.
This charismatic man of God spoke to The Purpose magazine about his plans to embark on a new journey of healing the world through music and motivating people using various platforms including radio stations.
Dlok’zin believes that it was a plan of God that he was dumped in a dustbin when he was a baby, only to be found and adopted by an Indian family.
“Luckily the women who adopted me had no problem breastfeeding me since she had a new born baby herself. I heard that my biological mom was working as a maid back then and that’s where she got me,” Dlok’zin elaborates.
This magazine also learnt that when he was in Grade 5, the Niekerk family came to his rescue and took responsibility for his school fees.

“With God’s grace I completed matric and furthered my studies at Invisible Bible Institute and I never looked back. Today I am proudly serving under my church African Holly Joy,” said Dlok’zin.
This man of God was born and bred in Durban, Puntu Hill but now he resides at Lovu south of Durban with his wife. They are blessed with five children.
When asked why he decided to embark on music at this age he’s answer was that God’s timing is always perfect and his love for music started when he was still young.
“When I grew up, I was listening to Jazz music, and I once tried my luck at Creative Art College years ago studying DJying. Entertainment is in my veins, I believe combining God’s teachings and entertainment can make difference,” Dlok’zin said.
