HEAVYWEIGHT radio mogul, DJ Fresh and his sidekick Euphonick joined millions of unemployed South Africans after being booted out by Primedia Broadcasting.

Both of them were working for music radio station 947 which is under Premedia Broadcasting.
The loss of their jobs came after a woman caused a stir on social media accusing them of drugging and raping her 10 years ago.

People advised the woman to report the case to the nearest police station. Then later, indeed the case was opened in Johannesburg, at Sunnyside police station on January 13.
Fresh and Euphonik jointly released a short statement saying it is in their best interests to resume all their public engagement.

“After extensive consultation, legal and otherwise, we have concluded that it is in our best interests to resume all of our public engagements. We look forward to our names being cleared. Unfortunately, we can’t find common ground with Primedia and have agreed a release from our obligations to the broadcaster, with immediate effect. Thank you to Primedia for great broadcasting opportunities and moments,” the statement said.

The woman took to Twitter and tagged both radio personalities: “Will you ever acknowledge drugging me and further raping me? I was completed drugged I don’t know whether you both raped me or one of you did and later laughed about it the next morning saying we (me and three girls) were drunk we kept blacking out but nasidlwengula (you raped us)” she wrote.

This was not the first time DJ Fresh had faces such accusations. Last year, Ntsiki Mazwai posted allegations on social media claiming DJ Fresh had raped her.
DJ Fresh, born Thato Sikwane, successfully pursued an injunction in court that forced Mazwai to remove all the social media posts referring to the allegations.

In its judgment, the court found Mazwai didn’t have enough evidence to back her claims, intructed her to remove her posts and refrain from making further derogatory statements about Sikwane.
